Market Economy

The Nordic "paradise" is history's greatest bait-and-switch. Before the welfare state, Scandinavia was a raw, low-tax, free-market powerhouse - that's what made it rich. The welfare system didn't create the wealth; it's been burning it ever since. When the tank nearly emptied in the 1990s, even Sweden quietly reversed course - cutting taxes, privatizing, deregulating. The fairy tale's real moral? Markets build prosperity; welfare consumes it.

Why are the US and China really clashing? It's not ideology, not the Thucydides Trap, and not cunning politicians. It's economics. America's domestic over-regulation killed its competitiveness, so it turned to protectionism. Ironically, "unfree" China now out-capitalizes the capitalists in manufacturing. The solution? More free trade, not less - because when goods stop crossing borders, armies start. Markets make prosperity; intervention destroys them.

Applying Mises's Omnipotent Government, this article argues wars stem from economic interventionism, not ideology. Government privileges create intervention spirals, leading to protectionism and economic nationalism - exactly how Nazi Germany escalated to war. Verdict: U.S.-China war remains unlikely. Deep trade interdependence (200 million Chinese jobs, mutual chip-rare earth chokehold) raises war costs prohibitively. Trade is peace's true ballast - cooperation beats conflic

A U.S.-China war is humanity's greatest threat. Modern states mobilize entire societies into war machines. Unlike World War II, the U.S. and China are evenly matched, making conflict uncontrollable. Deep interdependence means catastrophic costs: 200 million jobs, collapsed supply chains, worldwide escalation through alliances. World War II's 70-85 million deaths warn us: understand war's true costs beyond nationalist slogans.

American right, through its deep alliance with evangelical Christians, is pushing the U.S. toward theocracy. This movement promotes anti-science views and legislates religious doctrine, particularly through abortion bans, creating a fundamental conflict over America's secular identity.

Economics is value-neutral, while left and right are judgments about value. Regardless of left or right, neither of them is a small government. Left-wing still upholds the fundamental principles of the French Revolution, also known as natural human rights. Its philosophy is that everyone has equal rights. Constant expansion of the boundaries of rights, e.g. equality of outcome, is one of the greatest mistakes of the left.

In today's economy, making money efficiently no longer depends on sheer effort or being a jack-of-all-trades. Instead, it lies in combining your personal expertise (such as cooking, writing, or manufacturing) to the capital goods platforms built by tech giants like Wechat, TikTok and Uber, etc., thereby achieving the most efficient specialization. Understanding and leveraging the rules and logic of these platforms is the wealth code for today.

Despite having the best conditions, India fails to become an industrial powerhouse and its industrial output is only about one-eighth that of China's. The primary reason is the overly restrictive labor laws in India. The second reason why industry struggles to develop in India is the land issue.

Europe has already fallen into the trap of welfarism.  The biggest evilness of the welfare system is that it fundamentally subverts a person's values, leading people to believe that survival is a right without effort, and that taking from others is more natural and justifiable than giving. History has repeatedly shown that welfare-state policies ultimately lead to the collapse of the system.

From the perspective of a businessman who has been on the front line of the Chinese market for 20 years, the author emphasizes that the "laissez-faire" in the past was an important driving force for the rapid development of China's economy. In the absence of supervision and low tax burdens, grassroots small and medium-sized enterprises have continuously tried and made mistakes, and self-regulated with reputation and quality to create a booming market vitality.

China's fast economic booming and prosperity in the past 40 years was attributed undoubtedly to the free market.

The West is drifting toward collectivism - through taxes, regulation, monetary expansion, and other state interventions- and this threatens liberty and prosperity. To preserve freedom and lift humanity further out of poverty, the West must recommit to libertarian principles - life, liberty, and property safeguarded by limited government - and reject all forms of collectivist intrusion.

The core characteristics of "wokism" - expanding state and institutional power by reshaping the concept of rights, manipulating moral discourse and labeling and censorship.

The medical system in the West is a typical planned economy, the direct manifestation is that the serious patients have no right to choose.
